About the Associates Program

At Ruffolo’s Salon & Spa we hold an associates program, which is a hands-on experience that provides training for cosmetology graduates. Technical skills, guest handling, and business-building are the subjects of our focus. During this program, each associate works alongside one or more service providers to maximize their experience within our salon. With each six to nine month long program there are levels of performance-based growth. We ensure that each level is committed to graduate the associate with ease and skills into becoming a career hairdresser. We are in continuous search for passionate cosmetology graduates willing to be trained and coached by one of our training stylists to lead with success in our industry.

Like many people, I wasn’t completely sure what career path I wanted to pursue after high school. After spending a few years in college exploring my options, I realized I wanted a career that allowed me to be creative, connect with people, and make a positive impact every day. That’s when I decided to enroll in cosmetology school—and I immediately knew I had found my passion.

I graduated from Gateway in August 2023 and began my career at Ruffolo’s right away. After spending six months training under an incredible mentor and learning what it takes to be successful behind the chair, I transitioned to taking clients full-time. With the support of an amazing team and ongoing education to stay current with the latest techniques and trends, it didn’t take long to begin building an incredible clientele. Every year, both my love for this industry and the relationships I’ve built with my clients continue to grow, and I couldn’t imagine doing anything else.

In just a few years, I’ve grown into a Level 3 stylist—a milestone that reflects my commitment to learning, growing, and providing the best experience possible for every guest. – Caityn

I began the associates program at Ruffolos in July of 2024 and graduated cosmetology school from The Salon Professional Academy in September of 2024. Through the associates program, I worked closely alongside the most supportive and knowledgeable mentors. After 6 months, I finished the program and began taking my own clients full time. In the past year, I have built a constant client base and continue to grow my skills through continued education classes and in house training. – Nicole

I graduated from the Salon Professional Academy in April 2019. After graduation, I continued my education at Ruffolo’s doing an associate program. I finished my program in November 2019 & shortly after started on my own to build my clientele & myself towards level jumping. Normally a level jump right out of beauty school usually takes around a year each level, whereas I focused and did each in about 3 months time. Since November, I have jumped 2 levels & I am currently a level 2 stylist! I continue to grow myself thru education in and out of the salon. – Libby

I started working with Ruffolos as part of the front desk just as a fun job to pass time. I loved the environment and industry. It wasn’t long before I realized I wanted to make aesthetics into a career. I decided to go to school and gain my aesthetics license, and learn under Teddi’s wing as an associate for more experience and education. Since then, I’ve gained a certifications in lashes, brows, laser, & so much more! I love working with a team who motivates each other to grow & support each others dreams. – Corynn Spice

In 2025, I attended VICI Beauty School to pursue my esthetics license after realizing I wanted a career where I could help others feel confident and truly felt like I belonged.

While still in school, I reached out to Teddi to share my work and learn from her experience. That connection led me to Ruffolo’s, where I have been growing under her mentorship ever since. – Tegan

I️ started at Ruffolos in 2021 with the front desk team. I️ was a college student who couldn’t find a passion in a major at school. I️ quickly fell in love with the salon atmosphere, and knew this is where I️ wanted to be. I worked under a mentor at the salon while I was in school; and was able to gain behind the chair experience in a salon while finishing my education. I️ finished cosmetology school in late 2022, and have almost completed my first full year on the floor as a stylist. In that time, I️‘ve reached goals and have been promoted to a level 3 stylist who specializes in blonding + extensions. I’ve also been able to travel to other states for classes that can further my knowledge and career. I also take in salon classes that we have at least once a month. Working in a salon that values education as much as I️ do has pushed me in the direction I️ want and need to be as a stylist. I️m so grateful to each and every person who has mentored me along the way to help me get to where I️ am; and am so grateful for each and every opportunity I’ve been given to be where I’m at. I️ cannot wait to continue to grow as a stylist and continue learning while embarking on this journey! – Lexie Meier
