Dick Ruffolo

I started doing hair in 1959, then in 1962 I went into my own business called Ruffolo’s Hair Studio at which time my brother Gabe became an employee. In 1964 I moved the business to a new location, where it is now located and a few years later sold ½ the business to my brother Gabe. Then in 1973 we did a large expansion and became leaders in the Southwest Wisconsin and Northern Illinois. From 1974 thru 1977 I won 1st and 2nd place each year in the state hairstyling competition, and represented Wisconsin in the National Competition. During the 1980’s I taught cutting, coloring, and other aspects of the business on stage at seminars and in other salons. We kept enlarging the business and staff over the years. In 2007 we formed a new corporation which now includes the long time staff member Stacy Romanovic, and under the agreement she became the new owner of our business in 2011. Gabe and I have been very positive that she is and will continue extending the success of the business. I am still doing hair and love it. I enjoy conversing with my friendly clients that I have met over the past many years.
